Ran two and a half miles north on the parkway. What a crazy weather day sun, wind, snow, and that was repeated many times. Its so nice to have the wildlife back despite the cold spring. Redwing Blackbirds have a interesting call that always makes me feel like its finally spring.

Over all I pushed the hills and pick it up hopeing for a good race Saturday.

Is this May or March? Cold South wind and two short rather steep hills but other than that it was a good race. I don't know my splits because the miles weren't marked but I think pushing up hills on my runs have helped. A cute plaque for top three in each age division.

Ran south on the parkway with Sammy one mile then I had to make a conference call for my work. Then I ran north on the parkway two miles saw a big garden snake sun bathing across the path so I chased it toward the river so it wouldn't get run over by a biker.

Came back and waited for my freind Sally to get home from work to run three more miles. We are going to run the Race For The Cure saturday, Its her very first race. She did really well tonight and I think we will propably be able to run 8:30 pace.

One mile south with Sammy nice day just the right temp. for running! Then ran two miles north on the parkway. Running back on the dirt trail a big dog on a long leash ran up to me and hit me hard with its nose the owner was indifferent and said oh she just wanted to smell you. I just don't like being touched by strange dogs and gave her a look but she just walked on. I wish dog owners would control their dogs!

This was not a normal 5K for one everyone had the same number there were lots crazy inexperienced runners and a huge amount of goodies at the end.

It was my friend Sally's first race so it was her first pr, she was really happy it was the best she had run so far (only two months).

Had to wait for flooring installer to come and of course he was a few hours late. Took off about 1:45pm, ran north on the parkway wasn't paying attention and ran past the three and a have point. Then I realized I had a conference call at 3 o'clock yicks I had to move out fast! I hardly stoped to get a drink. Well I did get back at 3:07 and broke  into the conference call, my superviser didn't sound pleased but I did get a little speed workout.:)

I ran two miles north on the beautiful parkway as kind of a test. My run monday was bad for my achellis and my left heal. Anyway it still hurts so I don't know if it will give me problems on saturday.:)

Since achellis still felt pretty serious I decided to switch to the 5K and so did Brent. So we jogged walked to the start. The wind was really blowing and the tempture felt chilly, just right for a race.

First mile pace was 7:40, heal was hurting already.

Second mile pace was 8:20

Third mile pace 8:30

Tenth 1 min.

I don't think I did more damage to my heal hopefully.

Ran out into the glorious morning, immediatly I heard something unusual almost like a cottentail rabbits thumping but more drum like then I lookaround and see it's a Downey Woodpecker. Later I see the red eared turtle, I tried to take a picture of it. I bought a Bean Camera thats made to take hikeing and such.

It was a fun run.:)
