I finally got out and ran with trepedation due to pulling my right hamstring.  I've ben babying it for a week now and it seemed to be getting better, well not all the way better, so I'm sort of pushing it little fast but it wasn't to bad.  I'll take some Advil and do some streaching. Sammy the snow dog had fun though and it was sunny and bright with all the new snow so what the hay.

Finally got out to run after work, ran south on the parkway with the snow dog. Still pretty cold the trail was trecherous in many places wish it would warm up enough to melt some.

First all the good things about my run;  it was a pretty nice sunny day, it was my day off work, I had all day to run and work out in our gym down stairs. Now the bad things; my asma was  bad today, Sammy was slow and stuburn, my hamstring problem was worse and streaching didn't help., I had no energy and felt like giving up. That being said I made it to five miles and I'm glad I did it.

Three mile out-and-back south on parkway with my pack (Brent, Sammy, and me). Then a five mile out-and-back north, the trail was happily in pretty good shape we even ran on the dirt trail. The worse part was running into the wind, it was fearse, cold, and difficult to breath with my asthma, making it feel twice as far.

Waited and waited for the snow to stop when it finally did, it was almost to my knees! Sammy the snow dog was ready to go so I decided I was ready too, man what a hard run the parkway was NOT cleared makeing it feel twice as far.

Poor Snow Dog developed high heel ice paws with snowman packed legs she could hardly walk, let a lone run. I had to pick out her feet and legs a coulple of times. Hope the race Saturday isn't like this.

Three with snow dog on the parkway, it was cleared but a little icey in spots. I felt pretty good so when I was free of Sammy I did some pickups and it was a mistake I pulled the same hamstring!  Not as bad as last time but I was really disapointed in my hamstring problem.

I put 3.1 fast miles which is reletive to the pain in my hamstring, sometimes running the best you can is fast under the conditions. Brent has told all the fun things about the race; the people from the blog, old running freinds, and the (party) after the race.  All were good times.

Now with the first race of the year under my running shoes I will heal my injuries and train harder to be up to speed with my lovey hubby.

Wow what a run in 50 mile per hour wind! And I made it just in time, as I write the blizard is rageing the snow is already a few inches deep. I want spring now I'm so sick of this weather.

My hamstring is still hurtting and I can't run very fast but glad to have it in.

Afternoon weight workout and 1 hour on the spinning bike.
