We ran south on the Murray Parkway a mile and a half, beautiful day! Comming back a majestic bald egale flew right over our heads  I turned around to follow  it flying south along the river it was a beaultiful sight. We droped the snow dog off and then ran north two miles, there were many patches of ice and we had to hop scotch a lot. On our return trip the wind picked up and it was a lot harder to hop scotch and run.

I want spring now not in six weeks!

Funny Monday with lots of projets and only completed one with the help of my hubby so I ran out of time.  I did the spinning bike for on hour hard!

After work it was nice and sunny so I decided to get out, three with the snow dog, then three with Hubby brent.

As the sun was going down with a mile left we saw the owl flying low over cold misty river I felt the night coming and wanted to get home as quick as possible before we froze. Brent couldn't keep up when I picked it up and my hamstring is ok.

It was yucky weather so I jumped in our spinning bike and watched the second half of Stardust, I liked the movie so it made time go by.

Pretty nice day I think it is probably the warmest day this year. We had fun talking to some of our fellow blogers before the start. I think we have the nicest people around on our blog.

Brent and me ran a mile and a little to warm up. The start went off without a hitch, I felt pretty good the first mile 8:15 pace. In the second mile I began to feel the pain in my hamstring begin, by mile five I could't reach a full stride without pain. So I had to slow down to a bearible speed.

It was fun before and after but I could have done without the hamstring pain. Kim I hope the picture turned out good.

Ran two miles south with Snow Dog Hamstring still bad so I'm going to get a deep tissue massage this afternoon. I told myself if on my run today it felt better I'd cancel.

Beautiful day lots of geese and ducks on the parkway making a lot of noise.

I ran a easy three south on the parkway with sammy. I felt like a human kite strong winds again, are we ever going to warm up?

Why did they have to start the race at 8 am? It was very cold and far from home this morning. Because I knew it was really cold I took my mask for my asthma and I was glad I did. The course was mostly dry but at most corners and intersections there was a snow-ice combo, so hop scotch was the order of the day. The hills were the big obsticale for my hamstring and breathing, too bad there was more up hill than down hill.

Mostly I feel it was a wake up call for how much I need to do more hill training!

I procrastinated the morning away cleaning the house. So by the time Sammy and me ran a loop east of our home (for the challenging hill) I was already tired. Dropped her off then ran north on the parkway two miles the air was chewy polution flavor.

Hopefully the weather will someday be warm and beautiful and I'll have more fun running.

I ran three loops first loop south with Sammy, second east up a pretty steep hill and down, the third north on the parkway. Inbetween a short drink break, I felt good most of the time but tired out on the last loop.

I plan to do the hill loop nearly every run to change up my training.

Two and a half miles north on parkway.

I'm finally feeling a little better so I'll say a little more about my run (I'm tired of only complaining and making excuses). It was so... nice out side, birds making their return appearance to the parkway. It really felt like spring so I ran with no jacket and got a little cold, oh well it was worth it.

Three with Sammy then droped her of and ran my east loop up Bullion hill as fast as I could push, like my 5K pace then ran a little slower to recover. Then pushed again down Green Oaks finally on the Parkway another push to our driveway.
