Race goals:  Break 1:50, just missed, may have broke 1:50 if the race had started on time with the heat the last few miles.

It may be crazy, what is a 55 year old lady doing going like a mad women at the start of the race?   Just another day at the races.  Downhil is the money miles for me, my inhaler can attest to the trouble with the uphills.  I did not expect to place today, last couple weeks of my current division, ususally the old ladies of the division give way to the newbies.

I was surprised with my hubby's time, but I shouldn't be, he is the biggest sand bagger.  The race director likely had to clean up the course after Brent left the sand out there.   We talked to Josse for a minute, very sweet person and very good runner.

closing - quads sore as heck, got a massage yesterday, See you at the races.

Recovery Bird watching run today.  Run and stop for bird watching, seen a belted king fisher, magpie protecting bread crums from other birds -  and a magpie chasing a kestrel hawk.  Nice to run for fun, legs a little sore, nothing like Brent's.
