So I ran pretty good for being injured I feel like I'll never run injury free (big sigh). Before the race Brent and I walked up the trail behind the porta poties boy they smell. When we met up with Bethany and Paul it was so fun to meet buddies from blog they are really nice. Then Brent had to go.. and there was big long lines at porta poties so we ran up towards the start to one lone potie with no line. Then we waited a while for the start it was nice to have Brent to talk to usually he runs the half.

First mile ran good, felt relativly pain free and kept Brent in sight which means I'm doing ok for me. About 7:50 pace.

Second mile the hill did in my breathing which was the bigest problem for me this time. Pace 8:30.

Third mile I had to walk awile to use my quick acting inhaler (you have to hold your breath for 10 seconds, if I'm breathing hard I can't hold my breath that long). I didn't look at my watch again so I don't know my pace.

Forth mile my breathing was a little better tried to pick it up. So glad to turn that corner and see the water stop. Took a cup then since I could catch my breath I used my inhaler again, I wonder if some sort of pollen was out down there to cause my bad asthma.

Finally I saw the finish and also saw Brent I was so happy to see both!

Sylvie, I am so proud of you with your injuries and all you still got 4th place in your age! That is pretty darn awesome! It would have been fun to cheer you on or be running along way behind you!

Ditto what Kim said! Great race and time. Hope those injuries get out of town here soon.

Way to go Sylvie! What, you trying to make us all look bad? You're out there running injured and with major asthma going on, and you still plow through it and have a great race. You're a SOLID SISTA!

Sylvie, nice race report, love will last when races are long gone. Always, look for you at the finish. Two years ago at St.George, will not forget the panic of not finding each other for such a long time.

Hey, your on the comeback trail, it is getting warmer, breathing will get better, 5ks and half marathons will get shorter, I will get better looking, ha, ha.

Stay Kool, B of BS Rools out

by the way, nice race and ribbbon, you have enough ribbons to tie a bow in everyone's hair at the Moab Half, awesome long time running.
